Yesterday I did hill repeats for the very first time. I thought I would go out and do 8 with no problem. I did 4 and almost passed out. Whew, it was a lot harder than I thought but I can tell from my long run today that I definitely will add hill repeats at least once a week. I felt like I had more endurance and was able to tackle the hills on the run today. Amazing how different training can benefit your overall run.
The last couple of weeks, on a couple of runs I started having some pain under my ribcage on the right side. After talking to one of the awesome "Phat Girlz", Nicki, she suggested it may be my breathing. So I tried to control that today and I ran 10 miles with no pain! Thanks girl, you rock!
I started running at 38, my husband left his job of 23 years at age 54 and we moved to Florida where he took another job doing the same thing. We are both extremely excited about our new journey! I want to share my running, fitness and nutrition experiences with you. I may also talk a little about some day to day experiences. If you get nothing else out of this but motivation to get off the couch and get moving then I accomplished what I set out to do!
